My handmade jewellery captures my mind as it twists and turns. Making jewellery keeps me at peace. As I thread the wire each movement calms me and I relax into a new place, weaving a graceful presence in the moment, capturing the essence of now into an everlasting wearable work of art. I don’t not make many pieces of jewellery and when I do, they are very unique. They are one off pieces. I sometimes say prayers as I wind the wire into rhythms. Many pieces are made when I travel alone or when it is difficult to paint. I call them three dimensional doodles, as it is like sketching in wire. This tiara also converts into a special necklace that can be worn beyond the wedding day.

Fashion photographer Ivan Bellaroba took these photos as part of a photoshoot for an article. He watched me paint and took these as I relaxed and opened up. He has captured a side of me rarely seen. Thank you Ivan “2010 © Ivan Bellaroba” www.ivanbellaroba.com
