Sculptor Steve Yeates https://www.steveyeates.co.uk mentored Geraldine giving practical tips on how to sell and present work. She visited his studio for support and guidance. Steve works with recycled and reclaimed materials. He makes discarded and broken things beautiful. I love his glass figures created from vandalised bus shelters.

The arts are a way to find peace. When I paint it brings me an inner joy. That is a great gift to share and experience. I would encourage everyone to paint, draw, sculpt, dance, create music, write. I love working in oil on canvas. Find any positive creative outlet for self expression. I also believe that with intent “goodness” gets captured in an art form. It does not matter about the outcome of the art, it is the process of creativity that is important. That way you free yourself to experiment. I recently bought one of Sara's pieces, which looks even better in real life than it does on her website: despite being... an embellished canvas print, it looks just like an original, with the embellishing adding noticeable texture. Sara was incredibly helpful throughout, offering me various options to make sure I got precisely what I wanted, and that I was delighted with the finished product. The only difficulty I had was choosing which piece to go for, as I liked so many of them. Sara was incredibly patient, and offered sage advice as to which one would work best with the colour scheme of my front room. The overall service provided by Sara was outstanding.read more

Having... already checked out Sara’s work I thought I knew what I was looking for but on arrival I was immediately struck by some of her other pieces and I was spoilt for choice.
