Holy Spirit Light Comes Down

February 13, 2026

The light comes down. Christian abstract art. Calm blue painting.

Light comes down or the alternative titles are: “Moonlight Serenade” , “Flying Dolphin”, “Angels show the way”, “Heaven to Earth Holy Spirit, thank you”

Psalm 42 and Psalm 24 popped into my mind as I painted. This art is about the Holy Spirit and how he helps us. The Flying Dolphin goes to Aegina the monastery of Saint Nektarios.

Psalm 42

As the deer pants for streams of water,
    so my soul pants for you, my God.
²My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
    When can I go and meet with God?
³My tears have been my food
    day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”
⁴These things I remember
    as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go to the house of God
    under the protection of the Mighty One^[d]
with shouts of joy and praise
    among the festive throng.

⁵Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
    for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

⁶My soul is downcast within me;
    therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
    the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
⁷Deep calls to deep
    in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
    have swept over me.

⁸By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.

⁹I say to God my Rock,
    “Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
    oppressed by the enemy?”
¹⁰My bones suffer mortal agony
    as my foes taunt me,
saying to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”

¹¹Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
    for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

Psalm 24

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
²for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.

³Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?
⁴The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
    who does not trust in an idol
    or swear by a false god.^[a]

⁵They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
⁶Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.^[b]^[c]

⁷Lift up your heads, you gates;
    be lifted up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
⁸Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,
    the Lord mighty in battle.
⁹Lift up your heads, you gates;
    lift them up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
¹⁰Who is he, this King of glory?
    The Lord Almighty—
    he is the King of glory.

Christian Art in London

This is an interesting blog about where to find other Christian Art in London You can find Sara Sherwood a Christian Artist at Spitalfields Arts Market which is a monthly event. These event dates are on my news blog. The art is intuitive and not representational. It is very abstract and contemporary. It represents my journey towards Christ. I hope it inspires and I hope it is also inclusive and uplifting.

Art for Wellbeing

November 24, 2025

Art for wellbeing is a wonderful thing. Creativity can be an excuse to just be in the moment and relax. To doodle or scribble can be a simple joy. Painting can transcends reality into a moment of pleasure, focus or freedom. The above work of art is called “Calm in You”. Available art for sale

Art to express emotions and for wellbeing

We can all use art or creativity to express our emotions. This can be in paint, dance, sculpting, any kind of craft, spoken word or written poetry. For me picking up a brush has been a way to escape reality. I used it as a way to talk when I could not find anyone to hear me or when what I wanted to say was too challenging for others to bear. Sometimes within relationships we do not speak our truth as that would hurt others. Being still or playful with paint gave me a voice and then the art became my voice. I then became seen and known which was ironic considering where the desire to paint came from.

From Mental Health to Glory

In 2000 I suffered an emotional breakdown. I lost my Nan and also my Father in Law in the same year. It brought back the pain of the loss of my mother from when I was a 14. I was forced to take a break from what had been a very successful career. I was chasing money to feel safe and for practical reasons to pay for a home, but i needed to learn emotional freedom. My anxiety had increased and I was shaken or overwhelmed by the smallest things. My sensitivity came to the surface and I decided to go to hospital for a month.

It was here I took up boxing to get out my frustrations. That hurt my hands so I turned to splashing paint for a gentler comfort. This evolved into using pastels and blending sky scenes, which was less messy. Finally, holding a brush and palette knife to create gentle blends as well as exuberant swoops and swirls.

My art career and wellbeing

My art career was born out of mental crisis. I learned to play again, Many people at my friend’s church prayed for me and I recovered well enough to return to my former career in project management. However, the urge to paint remained. Eventually, I became a full time artist in 2005 after a few years of being employed and setting up my art business. I attended art shows and events at weekends and took on commissioned art projects. My recovery was due to both prayer and paint. God found a way to speak to me when I was still enough to listen, yet occupied in creativity. If you review the titles of my art you can see the messages of my soul speaking.

Wellbeing, nature and art

Here are a few techniques I learned on my journey to recovery.
Look up at the sky, cloud watch or feel the expanse of peace. it is a calm space without people. Whatever the weather from grey to brilliant blue it can give you something. Nature has a way of listening and skies have always been my thing as the sky makes me feel free wherever I am. Even on the underground I know there is a sky above me and just imagine or reflect on one when I need to feel calm and free. Most of my paintings start with an expansive sky. Trees have a way of making me feel safe. Walking in woodland seeing the colours of the leaves especially at autumn and walking in wellies joyfully kicking leaves is still a pleasure of mine. Beautiful landscape makes me feel peaceful.

Tips and Tools for Calm

Breathe in for 7 and out for 11. This will break the anxiety fight or flight mode and restore calm.

Splash your face with cold water, it stops overthinking and brings you to the present moment. I cold shower too, after a hot shower as again it stimulates the circulation (check first with a doctor)

Dance at home, put the music up or headphones on and move. This releases endorphins and brings you to the moment. I joined a few classes and my favourite is one is zumba. I have also learned salsa and there are many more types of dance to try. This gave me an instant social life outside of work.

Run, walk or jog, it also releases endorphins. I don’t always want to, but I always feel better for doing it. Listen to your body. One step at a time.

Mindfulness or reset from where you are now, not where you were. I called them Sara steps…Create new goals, take action or stop achieving and just be depending on where you are in your mentality.

Take professional advice. I took counselling and also went for prayer.

Diet: managing blood sugar levels can be very useful to help control mood. Negativity is harder to fight if we are tired or hungry. There are many social media platforms or books to help with this. Eating greens, protein and then carbs in this order is simple and effective.

Pet an animal with the owners permission. The painting above is about my faith and was also inspired by stroking my neighbours cat, The act of being kind to an animal nourished and calmed me.

Can I manage my thoughts by creativity?

Manage your thoughts or don’t react to them emotionally without reflection. Creativity can be a way for your subconscious to process a situation or circumstance. The bible says take very thought captive 2 corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. I have been taught we have 3 places of thought: from ourselves, good and evil. We therefore have the power to choose how to react or what we listen to internally.

Feed your mind with positive books, speech and surround yourself with people who have a can do approach to life. What we listen to feeds our subconscious. Proverbs gives biblical advice.

Go to bed early, good sleep is medicine.

How do I become creative?

To become creative, just begin. Pick up a pencil, paintbrush or anything that feels right to you. I have a friend who was ill and wrote it all down on paper screwed up the paper and discovered he could sculpt. How wonderfully positive. He recovered and is now a full time sculptor. This is definately an example of art for wellbeing.

When it comes to choosing to be creative don’t think and just do. Let go of the outcome and enjoy the process. You don’t have to keep every work of art. Perhaps start with a doodle and stop, or perhaps carry on and colour it in, and let your creative journey begin.

Large Wall Art

November 17, 2025

Large wall art is a speciality of mine and I love creating big works of art. Large canvas cityscapes are often a fusion of ideas. This one was inspired by a monastery dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog in Montenegro. The monastery building stands strong nestled into the rock. It is a magnificent feat of architecture. I then imagined Saint Pauls Cathedral in the same way as a rock and symbolic of my faith. The title of the art is self explanatory “God is my rock and fortress”. “From another land” and “Going with the eagles” also came to mind as possible titles, as I painted. The monastery is high in the rock, and eagles can soar around it. The london buildings are there but only in texture so the work at first glance appears as landscape art not a cityscape. Layers of depth visually and in the thinking behind a painting is the essence of how I create large wall art. This is an abstract city and landscape fusion. Inspired by a place that brings heaven to earth. To see images and read more about St Basil.

My favourite piece of scripture

My favourite piece of scripture which gets me through many a hard time is taken from Isaiah 40:31. “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” My testimony is to know God will be your rock and fortress in trials and that He is there in challenging situations. When I waiver in faith I cry out to the saints to pray to God for me as they became my family in desolate times, especially during the wilderness of life issues.

Sensitivity as an Artist channelled into creativity

My sensitivity as an artist has been a great gift, and I’m very thankful. Art became my quiet inner voice. I would encourage everyone to be creative in any form. It is a great outlet for emotion. I generally paint when I am happy or peaceful or use it as a tool to become that way. The process of creativity is the result, not the final product. However, when it works well, both are in cohesive alignment.

Saint Joseph the Hesychast

June 3, 2024

Saint Joseph the Hesychast, unceasing prayer of the heart. He was given the gift of unceasing prayer of the heart. He practiced the Jesus prayer and lived an austere monastic life. The stories of the saints inspire me and I take comfort from their ability to overcome struggles. You can read more

The Jesus Prayer

To calm my mind I recite the Jesus prayer. “Lord Jesus Christ, son of God have mercy on me, a sinner”. Sometimes I say this in my head when I paint. I created “Sea of Flowers” as a result. A local priest loved this work of art so commissioned an alter cover with this design printed onto it. When he chose it, he did not know the influence of the prayer in this abstract work of art. The flowers merge into sea and the story of the parting of the red sea came to mind as I worked, hence the title. I find this biblical passage calming “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

Noetic Prayer

St Jospeh the Hesychast lived from 1897 – 1959 and practiced the art of noetic prayer. I have also been greatly inspired by Saint Nektarios, Saint Silouan, Saint Sophrony and am very grateful. The Jesus prayer is profound, mind altering and a mystery and goes far beyond my understanding so I recommend if you are interested you seek advise from a Spiritual Father in a Christian orthodox church.

Exodus 14 NIV and King James version

This Bible passage from NIV Exodus 14 verse 15 is a testimony that God is with us in difficult times. “Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water, so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.”

NIV Verse 14 gives me great comfort in situations where I feel out of control by circumstances: “The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still.” Stillness is something we can run from in a busy world and it can be a challenge to just be. I find tranquility in this created image as I gaze into a sea of flowers. I often look back and don’t know how I painted this art, it was indeed a blessing. In the New King James version it says “The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” This gives me strength in that we can remain peaceful in all circumstances with the gift of Grace.

Rainbow Art

February 15, 2024

Rainbow Art as a sign of Hope in the Wilderness. Genesis 9 verses 12 to 16. The bible is still relevant. I was sent a rainbow to follow on two occasions when my sat nav did not work due to the locations. I was lost in a wilderness and lead to safety by following the bottom of the rainbow to get to my pilgrimage destinations. Once, when I was going to St Peters Chapel in Bradwell on Sea and again, to Saint Winefried’s well and shrine at Holywell in North Wales.

Rainbows Everywhere

When I was lost it just popped in my head to follow the bottom of the rainbow. I found my pot of gold in God’s riches in these places of sanctuary. The rainbow is a symbol of hope in the Bible and this is why so many of my painting titles have the word rainbow in them. I called this painting “Rainbows Everywhere” as thanks to God for sending me the rainbows and leading me out of my spiritual wilderness.

Rainbow Art inspired by Saint Winefried’s well and shrine at Holywell

I immersed myself 3 times in Holywell stating that I believe in the Holy Trinity. It was a transformation. It was symbolic of baptism and a new start. The art represents this greater symbol of hope in Jesus Christ in an abstract and contemporary way. All sins forgiven and the hope in a new day. I use my talent or gift of painting in the best way I know how: to celebrate. It makes me happy when my art makes others happy.

I aim to stay present and witness the small miracles and wonder that happen in every day moments. If I focus on the positive and joy, it helps me cope with the wilderness times in life. In the past I have struggled with anxiety and depression and Jesus Christ healed me so I know he is real from this experience. If I struggle mildly now, I choose to be grateful and it changes my focus and attitude. This is also the teaching from the Christian Greek Orthodox Holy Fathers. Saint Sophrony and Saint Silouan pray to God for us. I was also lead to a monastery and helped by their prayers by a painting commission but that is a story for another day “Gunmetal Sky” armour of God.

The Bible verse about rainbows representing the sign of the covenant between God and the earth is found in Genesis 9 verses 12 to 16.

Religious Art “Wilderness to Glory”

January 22, 2024

Religious Art Contemporary Style from wilderness to glory.

This religious art was inspired by Durham Cathedral. The title is “From Wilderness to Glory”. In this contemporary religious art, it is a visual metaphor using Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral. The 22 carat gold leaf represents a journey internally moving from the wilderness without a life in Christ i.e. the castle to the cathedral. I have used gold leaf that represents something precious to God: our soul as we journey through life. In the original oil on canvas the cathedral was highlighted with real diamonds. This was my way to signify something so glorious and holy and beautiful. It reflects my joy in finding God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Contemporary Religious Art and Glory to God

As an artist I have journeyed for peace via new-age, yoga, chakras, and positive self talk. Nothing prepared me for the experience of the Glory of God when I ended up in a Christian orthodox church in Greece. I now express my spiritual journey from “wilderness to glory” as contemporary religious art. Painting my testimony is my strongest inner voice and I hope it speaks to you to inspire and uplift. I have chosen psalm 107 to express this in biblical form.

What does the wilderness symbolise in the bible ?

An isolated place, a barren land. Jesus himself is tested in the wilderness: Matthew 4. Hope and assurance for peace in metaphorical emotional wilderness is expressed in psalm 29 ¹¹The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

Psalm 107

Psalm 107 refers to desert wastelands verse 4 and is biblical testimony / discernment to the message of His unfailing love in my art inspiration. NIV Bible

¹Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

²Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
³those he gathered from the lands,
from east and west, from north and south.^[a]

⁴Some wandered in desert wastelands,
    finding no way to a city where they could settle.
⁵They were hungry and thirsty,
    and their lives ebbed away.
⁶Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he delivered them from their distress.
⁷He led them by a straight way
    to a city where they could settle.
⁸Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
    and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
⁹for he satisfies the thirsty
    and fills the hungry with good things.

¹⁰Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness,
    prisoners suffering in iron chains,
¹¹because they rebelled against God’s commands
    and despised the plans of the Most High.
¹²So he subjected them to bitter labor;
    they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
¹³Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he saved them from their distress.
¹⁴He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness,
    and broke away their chains.
¹⁵Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
    and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
¹⁶for he breaks down gates of bronze
    and cuts through bars of iron.

¹⁷Some became fools through their rebellious ways
    and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.
¹⁸They loathed all food
    and drew near the gates of death.
¹⁹Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he saved them from their distress.
²⁰He sent out his word and healed them;
    he rescued them from the grave.
²¹Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
    and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
²²Let them sacrifice thank offerings
    and tell of his works with songs of joy.

²³Some went out on the sea in ships;
    they were merchants on the mighty waters.
²⁴They saw the works of the Lord,
    his wonderful deeds in the deep.
²⁵For he spoke and stirred up a tempest
    that lifted high the waves.
²⁶They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
    in their peril their courage melted away.
²⁷They reeled and staggered like drunkards;
    they were at their wits’ end.
²⁸Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he brought them out of their distress.
²⁹He stilled the storm to a whisper;
    the waves of the sea^[b] were hushed.
³⁰They were glad when it grew calm,
    and he guided them to their desired haven.
³¹Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
    and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
³²Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
    and praise him in the council of the elders.

³³He turned rivers into a desert,
    flowing springs into thirsty ground,
³⁴and fruitful land into a salt waste,
    because of the wickedness of those who lived there.
³⁵He turned the desert into pools of water
    and the parched ground into flowing springs;
³⁶there he brought the hungry to live,
    and they founded a city where they could settle.
³⁷They sowed fields and planted vineyards
    that yielded a fruitful harvest;
³⁸he blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased,
    and he did not let their herds diminish.

³⁹Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled
    by oppression, calamity and sorrow;
⁴⁰he who pours contempt on nobles
    made them wander in a trackless waste.
⁴¹But he lifted the needy out of their affliction
    and increased their families like flocks.
⁴²The upright see and rejoice,
    but all the wicked shut their mouths.

⁴³Let the one who is wise heed these things
and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord.

Hope in Christ Christmas Card

October 28, 2023

Hope in Christ Christmas Card is a joint project with Hope Together charity and artist Sara Sherwood. This image is called “Trust follow the star” and was painted intuitively. “I knew it was about the wise men following the star to find Christ in the stable. God was signposting me via my painting and creative process to lead me closer to Him. The title just popped in my head when I worked. I can go to a place of stillness and calm when I paint and this was one of those times. Other times I am joyous and energetic. To me now, each painting is a miracle and I’m so very grateful. It is all thanks to God.”

Scripture: Mathew 2:9 &10

The Scripture on the card reads: “After the wisemen had listened to the king, they went on their way. The star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them. It finally stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star they were filled with joy.” This verse is taken from Mathew 2:9 &10 NRIV bible. There is a QR code on the Christmas card which leads you to read more of the Christmas story.

Love Art

February 23, 2023

Manhattan Cityscape Depth by Sara Sherwood - Contemporary Abstract Cityscape Artist London New York

Love art

Love art expresses inner depth in cityscapes with layers of texture and colour. Working in oil to create large original abstract wall art. Originals and Prints. I use the term love art to represent inner peace. This cityscape is about depth and is primarily an abstract work of art showing there is often more beneath the surface of any situation or person. Looking for the beauty within.

The inner depth expressed in this abstract art is an artistic expression of Christ in art. Christian art is not an icon but tells a story or refers to a biblical piece of scripture. Today I found inspiration in this depth 2 Corinthians 4.

2 Corinthians 4

In summery “We do not loose heart” is a biblical phrase of great hope and comfort. I hope your “love art” has created hope and good heart and in this we can share joy whatever your belief. To read more about this cityscape art please visit my general blog

Freedom in Christ.

As I love art I chose to paint the freedom tower as this symbolises new beginnings and starting again. After devastation we can rebuild with the help of others in the natural and supernatural. This is an inner story of freedom in Christ. This is my story of personal devastation from a broken heart to freedom. Thanks be to God for helping me and perhaps this might be of encouragement to you too….Amen.

Radio Maria Q&A

Radio Maria Questions: Friday 27 May 2022 at 9am (preparation notes)

How does an interior artist find her way into becoming a “Christian Artist”?

I have always been very intuitive. After a mix of challenging life circumstances including bereavement and subsequent mental health issues, I began meditation and reading about positive thinking, yoga, new age healing as well as other religions. I even studied at the college of psychic studies to try to find out why I could sense things and draw intuitively. In short, I was on a Greek island and found a sense of peace in the orthodox church buildings and services. I took the light in my heart one Easter as I forgot my lantern! They bring the light from the Jerusalem service to Athens and then out to the islands. A beautiful service. Subsequently I was baptised Anglican in my local church in the UK.

You describe your art as finding the “positivity within” and some of your abstract art is based on scripture. Can you share your approach? Has it changed since you’ve become a Christian?

Yes, it was an adventure…I paint in the same way, by just letting go and thinking of nothing… then a scripture or name or Bible verse pops in my head

All of my titles are inclusive… they have both a worldly and a scriptural meaning. The last work of art a night sky painting was based on the Lord’s prayer “Our father”. I was shy to tell the client the real title as I did not want to appear overzealous with my faith and he said to me… I don’t know why but that star in the top left corner reminds me of my dad. I then asked if his father was still with us on earth. His reply was that his father had passed away but he was a Christian so there was a message and sharing for us both.

What’s it like having your faith as such an important part of your art? Are their prejudices? Have you found a Christian Artist community?

It has given me purpose and joy. Thanks to God and to my friends who helped or prayed for me during challenging times. I even have a painting “faith can move mountains” about a social movement to help the youth of this country, you can find out more trueheartsunite.co.uk I look for the Christ in everyone so tend to live in my own bubble rather than a Christian arts community. However, I have bought the domain true art and may create a platform to encourage. In the meantime, you can read more of these stories on my blog and hope section on my website sarasherwood.co.uk Prejudices, maybe I don’t know…Jesus died for us so I focus on Him.

Your “longing for mission” has lead you to Tearfund – what is Tearfund?

Tearfund, a Christian charity working to end extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. I chose to support Tearfund because it saddens me to see hungry children

How has Tearfund’s mission inspired your art?

Tearfund asked me to create a painting, for their Easter video. The creative brief was from “Darkness into Light”.

I believe in both prayer and action and my call to action was to donate my time to create this and I hope to raise money for Tearfund by silent auction.

Key details

I’m an artist and I’m holding a silent auction of one of my paintings.
I created the painting live on film for Tearfund, for their Easter video. The creative brief was from “Darkness into Light”.
The auction proceeds will go to Tearfund, a Christian charity working to end extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries
You can see the painting on my website in the video and blog sections. The website is sarasherwood.co.uk
Bids can be sent to me via my website sarasherwood.co.uk “contact” page or any of my social media: insta or facebook….under Sara Sherwood art.
The silent auction is an auction where bids are sent to me by email or social media channels and the highest bid gets the art. All the proceeds go directly to Tearfund and I give the art to the highest bidder.
The final day for bids – just contact me to see if the painting has sold.

I was delighted to work on this project as it touched my heart combining prayer, painting and action to help others.
Tearfunds Gideon Heugh and filmmaker Joseph Cobb have inspired me to continue with my poetry and I am in the process of producing videos to explain the scripture and meanings behind my art to inspire others. Thanks be to God. You can see more by following my on my social media Sara Sherwood art and website sarasherwood.co.uk
I believe in both prayer and action and my call to action was to donate my time to create this and I hope to raise money for Tearfund by silent auction.
I passionately believe no one should be living in poverty, to be the light in this world, we have to love our neighbour as ourselves.
Painting is my voice and I’m delighted to speak up for the poor. I’ve created something tangible that can then be sold for gold.

I chose to support Tearfund because it saddens me to see hungry children and I know they work to end extreme poverty around the world

Any advice you would give to other Christian Artists?

Pray, use your gifts and talents for good. Enjoy your art and share it. Life is a rainbow so colour it in when you can.

Any advice you have for young artists in general?

Just paint. We have a choice to be positive or negative so let’s inspire and uplift. Let’s create joy and be kind to each other in the process.

Abstract Cityscape “The Way”

October 7, 2021

London painting in blues 97764 "Leading the way" Abstract cityscape painting of London

Abstract cityscape “The Way” painting of London was inspired by. “I am the truth and the way and the life”. John 14 v 6 The verse popped in my head as I painted. I did not know its meaning so had to read it for context. The full title of the art is “leading the way forward”. I think God worked this way in my life because he knew I was too impatient to read and painting was the only time I was still enough to listen. When I paint, I let go, I relax and I would encourage you to try, forget the outcome and just paint. Feel calm in the process, forget the outcome or end result. Enjoy the moment. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+14&version=NIV

In the painting the St Pauls has a world represented in the centre of the church as a visual prayer of love for the world. There are two birds moving forward in the reflections. These birds represent the holy trinity bringing peace into the inner reflections of our soul.

I found this explanation of John 14 v 6 https://www.christianity.com/wiki/bible/why-did-jesus-say-i-am-the-way-the-truth-and-the-life-john-14-6.html

For me psalms are an easier way to understand the bible, apart from painting which is where I learned to listen. This is for me is entirely natural but it does not seem to be the usual way. Psalm 115 gives me clarity on “the way forward” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+115&version=NIV

I just discovered John 14 v16 ^“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
As I was researching I found this is so beautiful I had to share it too. Random! I love the way God turns even a google miss-typed search into a blessing! He works like that in my life too. Thanks to God He forgives all sin and mistakes upon repentance. Psalm 116 is very reassuring as I make plenty of mistakes. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%20116&version=NIV

Finally this popped up John 4 v 6 “We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognise the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.”

You are free to choose the way forward…..
